The province has two international airports: one in St. John’s and one in Gander. Because the province is somewhat secluded, there aren’t too many direct flights to YYT St. John’s, Newfoundland. Most will at least involve a layover in Halifax or Toronto. The province has very little public transit, therefore, it is recommended to book a rental car prior to arrival. If you would like to drive to the island, you can take the Marine Atlantic ferry.
